Charles City fall leaf and brush pickup set for week of Oct. 26

The Charles City Street Department has announced that the 2020 fall brush and leaves pickup is scheduled for the week of Oct. 26.

Residents are asked to place brush on the parking with the cut ends facing the street. Rake  leaves into the street 12-18 inches from the curb to prevent storm sewers from becoming clogged.

The city crews will make a round through town only once. Anyone who misses getting their brush or leaves out in time for pickup is reminded the Shaw Avenue Dumpsite is still open daily for residents’ convenience.

Whole trees will not be picked up.
