With his team of reindeer isolating because of COVID-19, Santa Claus came to town on a fire truck on Saturday, as the Charles City Area Chamber of Commerce and Charles City Fire Department gave Santa a ride around town to wave to children young and old alike. Santa rode in the bucket of the aerial fire truck and waved as he passed throughout different neighborhoods in town, with the siren blaring. He finished up with a drive down Main Street, then huddled inside by a phone, taking calls from children and chatting with them about their Christmas wishes.
