Robert Chiropractic opens in new location

Dr. Richard M. Robert said that nothing has changed except the place.

“People can expect the same treatment and the same service, it’s just in a new location,” he said.

Robert Chiropractic is open for business at 705 North Main Street in Charles City as of June 14. Robert had been offering chiropractic services in town for 31 years now, most recently at Breitbach Chiropractic, which consists of independent contractors all at the same location.

Robert said he is still accepting his old patients — as well as new ones — and so far he likes the new location, and his patients haven’t had a problem finding it.

Originally from California, Robert came to Iowa 31 years ago because he considered it a “better place to raise children.”

He raised two children here, both Charles City High School graduates who are now in their mid-30s. His daughter still lives in the area, while his son is in the Air Force and currently lives in Tucson, Arizona.

Robert recently married, and he and his wife, Ann, reside in Charles City.

He said he went into chiropractic medicine because it “uses a more natural approach,” and it can help patients stay away from some medications that tend to have adverse side effects. He said that both approaches to health care can complement each other — a patient doesn’t have to choose one or the other.
