Students try to match their teachers during Homecoming Week
It was “Dress Like Your Favorite Teacher Day” Wednesday at Charles City High School, student Delaney Ruzicka dresses like teacher Brian Bohlen and student Harper McInroy dresses like teacher Tia McInroy (also Harper’s mother.) Dress-up days at the high school and middle school this year also included “Color Day” on Tuesday, “Generation Day” on Thursday and “Orange and Black Day” on Friday. The theme for Homecoming this year is “Night of the Comet.”
The community tailgate will be at 5 p.m. today (Friday), which is when the freshman/sophomore football game will start. The Homecoming Court candidates will be introduced before the varsity football game against Center Point-Urbana, which begins at 7:30 p.m. The CCHS Marching Band and Dance Team will perform at halftime, and the Homecoming Dance will start at 9 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.
