Nashua man injured when thrown from motorcycle

A Nashua man was injured when he was thrown from his motorcycle a few miles north of Nashua Friday evening.

The Iowa State Patrol reported that William Cleveland, age 52, was riding his 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound on Highway 218 at about 8:45 p.m., through an area that is currently a construction zone.

Cleveland went onto the west shoulder then crossed back over the roadway and was thrown from the motorcycle. He was transported to Floyd County Medical Center by AMR ambulance.

The accident remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol. Assisting at the scene were the Floyd County and Chickasaw County sheriff’s offices, Floyd County Rescue and the Nashua Fire Department.
