Charles City SpookWalk 2022 draws huge crowd of kids and olders to annual river trail event

“A Very Vintage Halloween” was the theme for the 27th Annual SpookWalk held Oct. 27 in Charles City.
Organized by Main Street Charles City, the event welcomes kids up through sixth grade to get into the Halloween spirit by dressing in their costumes and bringing their treat bags to Riverfront Park behind the Public Library for this year more than 20 exhibits and events put on by local businesses and organizations.
The Cambrex exhibit took the monster’s share of the awards this year, capturing the Kids Choice, President’s Choice and “Best Overall” prizes. The McDonald’s display won Best Use of Theme, and the Valero display won Most Creative.
