Floyd County Ikes get ready for Christmas tree sales

On Monday members of the Floyd County Ikes met at 702 S. Main St. to start preparations for the chapter’s annual Christmas Tree Sales project.

The chapter has been selling Christmas Trees as a fundraising project for more than 30 years. This year there will be fresh cut trees from Minnesota, although the chapter said trees will be in short supply this year.

The trees will be for sale on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 25 and 26, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Sunday, Nov. 27, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Proceeds from this project are used for conservation projects in the county, including many that support youth activities.
