Cedar Summerstock performs at Charles City Senior Center
In training to become professional performers, Lydia Kelly Campbell, Tea Doherty, Jack Bechard, Olivia Reiter and Elizabeth Vichness (accompanied by Joshua Burniece) presented historical facts about Iowa, shared personal stories, and performed selections of hits such as “The Music Man.”
Along with providing entertainment for the community, the concert serves as an educational experience for the professional performers-in-training.
“That’s part of the training for them,” said producer Nancy Nickerson-Lee. “To learn how to engage with an audience.”
