The cast for the Charles City Drama Club’s fall play has been selected.

Opening in November, “Godspell” will tell a story of love and community through different parables and audience interactions.

“I’m looking forward to showing the Charles City community the many individual talents of our high school students and seeing them shine,” said musical director AJ Weber.

The play will feature Jacob Diers as Jesus; DaShawn Griffin as John/Judas; Blake Heoft as Nick/Thomas Aquinas; Blake Dean as Telly; Jacob Jones as George; Norah Massawe as Anna Maria; Ana Tutu as Lindsay; Camryn Heoft as Uzo; Kaity Heckers as Morgan/Hegel; Savannah Baldus as Celisse; Lilie Mohring as Socrates; Aden Hunnie Galileo; Nyssa Salinas as Gibbon; Andrew White as L. Ron Hubbard; Alexia Clark as Sartre; and Ellie Gassman as Marianne Williamson.

Addison Tracey will serve as stage manager for the play.

“I’m excited for these students to expand their talent,” said drama director Erika Joiner. “This show will really push them as actors and I can’t wait to watch what they create.”

“Godspell” will be presented at 7 p.m. on Friday Nov. 3 and Saturday Nov. 4 at the Charles Theatre, with an encore performance Sunday, Nov. 5 at 2 p.m.
