Downtown shoppers have a new place to sit and relax as Prologue Books & Wine has set up a new outdoor patio.

Patrons looking for a place to read and enjoy a glass of wine, or just anybody downtown that wants a place to sit for a spell, can take a seat in the open lot next to Prologue.
“I’m going to keep it really simple and accessible,” said Prologue owner Darci Tracey.
Currently the set-up is modest, with tables and chairs for up to 10 people in the gated area next to the building. A new door has been installed in the side of the building for easy access in and out, and solar powered lights are there to provide some evening ambience.
As it gets colder, Tracey said she plans to bring out some outdoor heaters to make the patio comfortable until the snow falls.
If reception to the patio goes well, Tracey hopes to work on the pavement and grass next year.
In the meantime, Tracey says that the patio is a natural extension of her plans for the book store.
“I want the book store to be a place where people stop,” said Tracey. “That has always been part of the original business plan.”
