Iowa gun/bow fall turkey season start date incorrect in state booklet

The Iowa fall turkey gun/bow hunting season starting date listed in the printed version of the state hunting regulation booklet and the hunting seasons card is incorrect, according to the Floyd County Recorder’s Office.

Recorder Amy Assink said the the dates are incorrectly listed in the Iowa Department of Natural Resources printed publications as Oct. 10 – Dec. 1, but the actual dates are Oct. 16 – Dec 1.

“The dates have been updated on the electronic versions of these documents,” Assink said. “The correct date will be printed on turkey licenses for this season.”
