Kids get gooey with Twizzler art

Kids got to make some sweet designs this week at the Charles City Library as the Get Messy program taught how to turn Twizzlers into art.

Using Twizzlers as perler beads, kids cut up the candy ropes into pieces and laid out their colorful designs on wax paper, letting an adult use an iron to melt them into a gooey semi-solid that hardened into place.
