Get Messy puts a spin on painting at Charles City Library

There was painting with a twist at the Charles City Public Library on Tuesday, Nov. 21, as the Get Messy program offered kids the opportunity to make spin-art.

Combining art and physics, kids poured paint onto spinning canvases and let centrifugal force take care of the rest, creating colorful combinations of splatters and patterns.

Coming up next for the Get Messy program, kids will be able to get their hands on soap jellies on Tuesday, Nov. 28. Note that the program will be delayed from its usual 3:30 p.m. starting time to 4 p.m.
