Featured entertainment for the evening will be provided by Tom Roth and his stage hypnosis show. Dinner will be catered by Dave’s Restaurant, and silent and live auction items will be available to bid on.

The event will be held at the Youth Enrichment Center at the fairgrounds, with social hour beginning at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 6 p.m., to be followed by the entertainment and auction.

Community Development Director Mark Wicks said admission is $35 per person for Chamber members and $40 for non-members during the early bird registration period through Friday, Feb. 9, then $40/$45 per person after that. Register online at www.charlescitychamber.com or contact the Chamber office at 641-228-4234 or info@charlescitychamber.com.

Private tables of 6-8 people can be reserved for $25. There must be a minimum of six people in your party in order to reserve a table, Wicks said.

Tom Roth, of Bellevue, Iowa, is a former school teacher who always brings a little education about hypnosis to his show, along with a little comedy, a little intrigue “and always a lot of fun.” He promises that safety, dignity and good taste are of utmost importance, with the No. 1 goal being for the audience and volunteers to have a good time.

“A stage hypnosis show is just plain fun!” Roth said. “Every show is different because no group of volunteers is the same. Through hypnosis and the power of the subconscious mind, ordinary people are able to do extraordinary things!”

Roth said the imagination, creativity and sense of adventure of the participants are greatly enhanced through the power of hypnosis.

“To me, a stage hypnosis show is always an adventure – unpredictable and hilarious,” he said.
