The Charles City High School Drama Department challenged audience expectations with a chilling performance of “Trap” over the weekend.

Debuting at the Charles Theatre on Friday, March 29, with a matinee performance on Saturday afternoon, the documentary-style thriller investigating a mysterious incident involving the audience of a high school play blurred the lines between theater and reality.

Featured in the production, most playing multiple parts, were Aden Hunnie, DaShawn Griffin, Jacob Diers, Savannah Baldus, Kaity Heckers, Kati Haglund, Jacob Jones, Blake Hoeft, Blake Dean, Ana Tutu, Norah Massawe, Alexia Clark, Camryn Hoeft, Gracie Opp, Thane Howeltt, Destiny Squier, Ally Wedeking, Kayla Streich, Kaleigh Krueger, Adeline King, Nyssa Salinas, Lillie Mohring, and Simon Tutu.

Stage Manager Addison Tracey worked behind the scenes with Zadie Pittman, Emily Jones, Natalie Keyes, Jenna Aikey, Braelynn Painter, Lisa Ryan, and Leah Dettmer.
