Floyd County Extension Week begins Monday

ISU Extension and Outreach Week in Floyd County will be held Monday, April 15, to Saturday, April 20.

Events for what is planned to be a fun-filled week are:

• Master Gardner Monday – Seed giveaway and Master Gardner advice from 2 to 4 p.m.
• Treat Tuesday – Fun facts about Extension with treats and giveaways.
• Wellness Wednesday – Stop in to make a yummy treat.
• Thank you Thursday – Open house with cookies, coffee and prizes.
• 4-H Friday – Tailgate with local 4-H members and special guest Cy the Iowa State University sports mascot. Free hot dogs will be available for the first 100 people from 4 to 6 p.m.

People can enter their names in a drawing each day for a prize that will be chosen at the Friday tailgate party.

“Floyd County Extension offers a variety of services,” the organization said. “Staff is excited for the opportunity to share what we offer. So take a moment to pop in and say hi.”

The Floyd County ISU Extension and Outreach office is located at 112 N. Main St. in Charles City.
