The volunteers of the Floyd County Tosanak Maple Syrup organization have recently completed the 2024 bottling process, according to Bruce Bergland, the organization’s founder and leader.

“It was a challenging year because of the weather. But we had a dedicated group of people having great time working together in a wonderful project that benefits Floyd County parks,” Bergland said.

The prices for the bottled syrup are the same as last year, said Randy Heitz, who helps the maple syrup group with marketing.

Prices are $7 for half pints, $11 for pints and $19 for quarts, he said.

“In addition, there’s a very limited number of gallon jars which will be sold for $60,” Heitz added.

SkyView Market in Nora Springs, ( www.SkyViewMarket.net ) is the most recent retailer to join the organization’s distribution system.

SkyView Market owner Laura Cunningham invited those interested to visit their one-stop, on-the-farm shop for farm-raised meats and local goods.

“We look forward to serving up the best that local farmers and makers have to offer. You’re Invited to our grand opening of SkyView Market this Friday and Saturday, April 26-27,” Cunningham said.

Other local syrup distributors include:

  • Floyd County Conservation Headquarters near Rockford.
  • Floyd County Auditors office at the courthouse.
  • Countryside Construction, rural Orchard.
  • Schueth Ace Hardware, Charles City.
  • Reiff’s Farmstand, Floyd.

All profits from the syrup sales support Floyd County Conservation.
