The National 19th Amendment Society will hold a “Docent 101” and dedicate a new Red Shed at Carrie’s Girlhood Home on Saturday morning, May. 4.

“To expand our storage capacity and add outdoor classroom space for Prairie Day Camp, the construction of a new Red Shed was approved by the NNAS board in 2023,” said Cheryl Erb, NNAS president.

“This new addition provides a much-needed secure storage for our heritage suffrage wagon and activity space for campers during the annual Prairie Day Camp held the first Wednesday of August,” she said.

Docent 101 will be an open house from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and dedication of the Red Shed will be at 10:30. Refreshments will be served.

Erb said everyone is invited to join them for this event and explore the many volunteer opportunities available at Carrie’s Girlhood Home Museum.
