New author visits Charles City bookstore

A newly published area author visited Charles City on Friday for a reading and Q&A session at Prologue Books and Wine.

Joe Milan Jr. of Forest City is an assistant professor of creative writing at Waldorf University and has recently published his first novel, “The All-American.” He visited Prologue to read a portion of his book and talk about his inspirations and writing process with local book lovers.

“I love reading at independent bookstores,” said Milan. “I’ve always felt that people in bookstores are the coolest people can you meet.”
