Floyd County Medical Center adds registered nurse practitioner to Urgent Care team
Ashley Wells, ARNP

Ashley Wells, ARNP, has more than 10 years experience in the medical field and has served as a nurse before becoming a registered nurse practitioner.

She holds an associates degree from DMACC, bachelor’s degree from Upper Iowa University and a masters degree from Purdue University Global. Her experience includes the medical surgical floor, emergency room and in surgery in a county hospital similar to FCMC.

“After finishing my master’s degree, I worked in family medicine and urgent care for two years before my husband was offered a career opportunity in this area, which has led to our relocation,” Wells said.

“FCMC caught my attention, having worked in a county hospital setting for eight years early in my career. After meeting the team, learning their values, advances and continued growth, I knew it would be a good fit for me,” Wells said.

Dawnett Willis, the Medical Center’s CEO, said, “We are very excited to have Ashley join our Urgent Care team. With the new addition of this service a little over a year ago, we have been actively recruiting for other like-minded providers who exemplify quality and compassion. Ashley will continue delivering exceptional, personalized care to the patients we serve.”

Wells said she and her husband have four children and a dog.
