Arts Center hosts July art classes

A week of art classes for kids is underway at the Charles City Arts Center.

Taught by Meredith Hamm, the program running July 8-12 is offering a variety of classes for K-6 grade students, teaching Mandala painting, cookie decoration, pottery painting and more.

“I try to do something fun during the summer,” said Hamm.

Monday kicked off with a free-for-all outdoor art session where kids got to pick their own craft.

While the five-day program is underway, interested kids can still get involved for any number of remaining classes for a reduced fee.
