Get Messy makes Day of the Dead treats

The Charles City Public Library had a Day of the Dead themed activity for its Get Messy program on Tuesday, Nov. 5.

Kids came out to shape crispy rice marshmallow treats into the shape of a skull before decorating them with different candies and frostings while enjoying a movie.

Tuesday evening board game fans gathered to play four of the library’s collection.

Coming up next week at the library, the program will feature “fairy golf,” as kids can come in to construct miniature-sized golf courses.
