Volunteers bring down holiday lights

The holidays are officially over. Volunteers came out over the weekend to take down lights and decorations at Central Park and Memory Lane.
“We had a steady stream of volunteers who jumped in to help since we started preparing for the display in early November,” said Chamber Marketing & Tourism Coordinator Ginger Williams.
While poles will remain posted at the parks until the ground warms up, the lights and decorations have largely been collected and will be put away until it becomes time to decorate once again for Christmas of 2025.
“Tear-down went fairly quickly on Saturday and we were able to get most items tucked away until next year,” said Williams. “Thanks so much to all who contributed. Especially to those who braved the cold temperatures on several occasions.”
