Rudd Library to hold rummage sale fundraiser

A rummage and bake sale is happening this weekend to support the Rudd Public Library.

On Friday, April 25, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, April 26, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Rudd Gymnasium will be packed with clothing, home décor, games, and more for a freewill donation rummage sale to raise funds for the library.

“It went very well last year so we thought we’d try it again this year,” said Library Director Kathy Smith.

Along with the donated rummage items, baked goods will be on hand for shoppers looking for a sweet treat.

Funds raised during the rummage sale will contribute to the library’s expenses as it finishes up its list of needs after being rebuilt following the 2021 tornado, from insurance and landscaping to tables and chairs.

“Everything has gone up, so we’re hoping to make money we can stick away,” said Smith. “There’s always something.”
