IC first graders shared their musical knowledge with the residents of Apple Valley Place on Monday, April 28.
First grade teacher Journey Schwickerath’s class visited Apple Valley on Monday morning for the class service project, entertaining the audience of the assisted living facility with the songs they’ve learned this year.
“It was a lot of fun,” said music teacher Susan Leeper. “It’s fun to help the kids get out of their comfort zone.”
Nearly every resident of the facility came out to the common area to meet with the kids as they performed their songs and interacted with the seniors.
“It was great,” said Mike Leraaen. “Absolutely great.”
