It was a magical evening in the Zastrow Room of the Charles City Public Library on Tuesday, July 1.
To celebrate the conclusion of the Harry Potter Book Club, the library welcomed families in for an interactive movie showing of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.”
“I’m happy to share a favorite with the kids of Charles City,” said Children’s Librarian Stacey Leerhoff.
Attending viewers received a goodie-bag with snacks, crafts and other items, giving the kids a list of specific moments in the movie to eat, yell and throw things to bring them closer to the action.
“It’s having fun while you watch the movie,” said Leerhoff.
The library will have more magical adventures this week, with a special Mermaid Storytime at Lions Field Pool on Thursday at 2:30 p.m.
