Final brush, leaf pickup in CC begins next Mon.

The Charles City Street Department’s final brush pickup for 2015 will officially begin the week of Oct. 26.

The department asks that you place your brush on the parking with the cut ends facing the street. Street crews will make a round through town only once. If you miss getting your brush out in time for pickup, the Shaw Avenue Dumpsite is open daily. Whole trees will not be picked up. Leaf pickup will also officially begin the same week. Rake your leaves into the street 6-12 inches away from the curb and storm sewers. Leaf piles with brush mixed in won’t be picked up.
