Schueth Ace

Founded in New Hampton in 1922, J.G. Schueth likely didn’t expect his hardware store to continue service into 2015 –– but that’s exactly what Schueth Ace Hardware has done, under the third generation ownership of Doug Schueth and Jackie Perkins. After a 2005 move to Charles City, Schueth Ace continues to provide custom window treatments, hardware and project advice, paint and gift items to area customers.

“We love the satisfaction of helping people,” Perkins said. “Our world is so fast paced and busy that if we can help our customers make their projects simple, they have more time to spend with their friends and families.”

The business sees itself as an integral part to helping Charles City grow and maintain their community, Perkins said, and relies on providing outstanding customer service for everyday needs in the community –– including services like free color consultations within their large paint department, and a unique gifts and home decor section.

“We are so happy to be part of the Charles City family,” Perkins said.

Schueth Ace Hardware is run with the help of twelve employees: Abbe Sindlinger, Rebecca Schilling, Jim Springer, Mike Panter, Curtis Keiffer, Terri Hay, Randy Jones, Randy Ellman, Dan Brannon, Darrell Bonorden, Russ Schwarz and Shirl Stone.

The business is located at 300 Gilbert Street, and can be reached at 641-228-5235.
