Children to have opportunity to “Call Santa”

If they can’t make it down to the Santa House in Central Park this holiday season, children in and around Charles City will still have an opportunity to “Call Santa,” thanks to a special offering by the Charles City Rotary Club.

On Saturday, Dec. 12, from 1-4 p.m., children can call a special phone number and talk with Santa and his elves to tell him their Christmas wishes. Simply call (641) 330-2322 between those hours for a chance to speak with Old Saint Nick. That number will only be good on that day.

The Santa House in Central Park will also be open for children to visit with Santa on Dec. 4, immediately after the Holiday Lighted Parade at 6 p.m., as well as from 10 a.m. to noon on Dec.

5, 12 and 19. The last chance to see Santa in Central Park will be from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 20.
