Veterans Christmas Party set for Dec. 12 in St. Ansgar

The 15th Annual Veterans Ghristmas Party at the St.

Ansgar American Legion will be Saturday Dec. 12. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. The event is free. Come early for Christmas goodies and coffee. Veterans, spouses and the public are welcome to attend.

No fees, nothing to join.

Char’s Polka Band will play Christmas and Polka favorites. A lunch will be served by Paradise Pizza.

Introductions and “Share a Story” will begin at 10 a.m.

The Master of Ceremonies is 96-year-old WWII WASP (Women’s Airforce Service Pilot) Liz Strofus of Faribault, Minn., recipient of the Congressional Gold Medal for being a WASP and recently receiving another Congressional Gold Medal in Washington, D.C. for being one of the original Civil Air Patrol pilots.
