1:15 a.m. — Responded to a report of a disturbance in the 1000 block of North Grand Avenue.
Upon officers’ arrival, it was found that two subjects had an argument and one of the parties had left the area.
1:56 a.m. — Responded to the 300 block of 7th Avenue in reference to a report of noises on a subject’s porch. No one was located in the area upon the officer’s’ arrival.
8:05 a.m. — Took a report of a complaint of garbage and other items around a residence in the 400 block of 15th Avenue. The officer served a nuisance notice to the resident.
8:29 a.m. — Attempted to locate a person in the 1800 block of Bailey Street.
10:48 a.m. — Spoke with a person over the phone from Riverside Avenue in reference to a possible scam with someone claiming to be the irs.
10:49 a.m. — Spoke with a person at the Police Department from the 300 block of 5th Avenue in reference to possible harassment.
11:01 a.m. — Responded to the 400 block of 4th Avenue for a report of person illegally dumping garbage.
11:07 a.m. — Talked with a person from the 400 block of Hulin Street regarding questions on why an officer might have stopped by their residence.
11:22 a.m. — Spoke with a person from the 500 block of 7th Avenue in reference to a possible theft.
11:35 a.m. — Conducted a welfare check on dogs in the 500 block of 1st Avenue.
12:30 p.m. — Arrested Christopher Geweke-Vierkant, 23, of Charles City, on a valid Cerro Gordo County warrant for failure to appear for 5th degree theft and trespass.
12:37 p.m. — Responded to the 600 block of North Jackson Street for a report of abandoned property.
1:04 p.m. — Responded to the 300 block of 5th Avenue for a report of a possible no contact order violation.
1:16 p.m. — Talked with a person from the 2100 block of Clark Street who wanted to retrieve money that was seized by officers from a person arrested on friday morning. The officer explained they could not get the money.
1:26 p.m. — Went to the 800 block of Kellogg Avenue for a deer that was shot within city limits. The Department of Natural Resources was called and it remains under investigation.
2:08 p.m. — Responded to the 400 block of E Street for a possible disturbance. Everything was OK upon the officer’s arrival.
