Kaydence Rudd waves goodbye and goodnight to the crowd at the end of the $1.98 Show at the Western New Mexico University Fine Arts Center Theatre on Saturday evening. Rudd is the leader of The Holy Rollers burlesque group. Although Rudd is moving away from Silver City, the group plans to continue to practice and perform. This was the group’s first home performance, although they have toured around the Southwest, performing in places such as Tucson, Ariz., and others. This was the second year of the revitalized $1.98 Show, which drew a nearly full auditorium both Friday and Saturday evenings. Ward Rudick and Teresa Dahl-Bredine co-directed the show, which raised more than $9,000 toward renovation of El Sol Theatre downtown. (Press Staff Photo by Stewart McClintic)
