Central Park was filled Sunday evening with band music and a crowd of people enjoying it. The first concert of the summer by the Charles City Municipal Band was held under perfect weather conditions and under the direction of Charles City High School band director Jacob Gassman. The next Sunday night concert in the park will be 7:30 p.m. on June 18, then the final concert of the season will be the annual Independence Day concert, Tuesday, July 4, at 7:30 p.m. behind the public library.
