The Charles City Community Schools has named Calli Boeckmann as its next director of finance.

Boeckmann will be responsible for overseeing the fiscal health of the district, including managing day-to-day finances, budgeting, and ensuring the district remains on a strong financial footing, according to information from the school district.

“We are excited to welcome Calli to our school community,” said Superintendent Dr. Anne Lundquist. “Her experiences in both industry and schools, her outstanding and relevant skill set, and her highly motivated personality set her apart from other applicants. Our district and the students and families we serve will benefit greatly from having Calli join our team.”

Boeckmann comes to the district from Iowa Auto Rebuilders, where she served as controller and chief financial officer for seven Windows by Pella stores across two states. Prior to that, she was the business manager for the North Polk Community Schools. She holds a business degree from Upper Iowa University. The appointment was approved at the Charles City Board of Education meeting on Monday, June 12.

“I am excited to serve as the next director of finance for Charles City CSD,” said Boeckmann. “I’m grateful for this opportunity, and I look forward to working with administration, staff, and the school board for the benefit of the district’s students and families.”

Boeckmann will begin her role on July 1, replacing outgoing Director of Finance Evan Marten.
