Shawn Edwards Boger, age 33, was arrested last month in Garner on a warrant that had been issued in October on a crime that allegedly took place in July.

According to documents filed in Floyd County District Court, the NAPA Auto Parts Store north of Greene on Highway 14 was burglarized about 4 a.m. on July 10.

“Two individuals were recorded on video entering and exiting the store with a crow bar and hammer,” the criminal complaint says. “After a multi-agency meeting it was determined one individual was Shawn Boger.”

A search warrant was conducted on Sept. 5 at Boger’s residence, and items and clothing were allegedly located from the NAPA burglary, the complaint says.

An arrest warrant was issued Oct. 10 in Floyd County District Court, and Boger was arrested by a Floyd County deputy on Dec. 22 in Garner.

Boger was charged with second-degree burglary while possessing a weapon or explosive device, a Class C felony.

Boger is charged in Kossuth County with ongoing criminal conduct – influence enterprise, a Class B felony, for allegedly knowingly conducting the affairs of an enterprise through burglaries over three states, and with third-degree burglary, a Class C felony.

According to the criminal complaint filed in Kossuth County District Court, Boger “unlawfully entered an occupied structure to commit a theft and used a pry bar to gain access. Defendant is involved in several burglaries throughout Minnesota, Iowa, and Nebraska.”

The complaint says that clothing that Boger wore while allegedly committing the burglaries was found during the search of his Mason City home in September, vehicles used in the burglaries over three states have been verified as being operated and or occupied by Boger, and Boger “has been observed on numerous surveillance videos throughout the three states.”
