Bianka Graeser

Bianka Graeser, 69, of Nashua, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018.

She was born Oct. 10, 1949 in Orleshausen, Hessen, Germany. She met her husband, Les, while he was stationed there in the Military. Bianka was only 17 years old when she married Les, the love of her life, on May 19, 1967.

She made the courageous journey to live in the U.S. knowing very little English. She learned to read and write the language while teaching her two young boys. She was a citizen by marriage but also by studying and passing the Naturalization Test. Bianka was a very proud American.

She had a tremendous love of animals and the outdoors. Bianka was a kind and beautiful soul and even at the end of her life possessed more grit and strength than most will ever know.

She is survived by her husband, Les Graeser of Nashua, Iowa. Two sons, Gil Graeser (Deena) of Charles City, Iowa and Gary Graeser (Liz) of Independence, Iowa. Five Grandchildren, Gabrielle (Breitbach), Samuel, Nicole, Zachary and Xander. Her mother, Heidi Pendzialek of Büdingen Germany. Bianka had many people in her life, related or not, that she considered family.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Bianka at Hot Shots Billiards in Charles City, Iowa on Sunday, Nov. 4, from noon to 4 p.m. Family and friends are all invited and encouraged to attend. At her request, there will be no funeral services.
