Julian Blair Friedrich

Julian Blair Friedrich, 67, passed away surrounded by friends at Seton Hospital Austin, Texas, Thursday, March 28, 2019.

A memorial service and interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Charles City at a later date.

Julian was the youngest son of Harold and C. Lorraine (Kapka) Friedrich born in Charles City on June 1, 1951. He graduated from Charles City High with the class of 1970. Then went on to achieve his Associate of Arts from NIACC in 1972.

After college Julian moved to Tehuacana, Texas where he helped restore a local landmark, Trinity University. From there he moved to Dallas, Texas where he obtained his beauticians license and was employed for several years at Images by Aki until he retired.

Julian spent his last few years in Austin, Texas, and was a beloved member of Metropolitan Community Church of Austin.

Julian was a talented soul who loved to paint, sew, and make pottery.

Julian is survived by 2 brother; Richard (Diana) Friedrich, Deltona, Fl, Chris (Connie) Friedrich, Charles City, Ia and a sister, Carol (Keith) Inman, Marble Falls, Texas, and several nieces and nephews. Julian is proceeded in death by his parents, his brother, Rusty Friedrich and his beloved dog, Suzy.
