John Cuccuini

John Cuccuini, 56, of Charles City, passed away Friday, September 11, 2020.

A public visitation for John Cuccuini will be held from 5-8 p.m. at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home in Charles City on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2020. Those in attendance will be asked to follow social distancing guidelines and to please wear a face mask; thank you for your understanding.

John Joseph Cuccuini, the son of Mario and Wanda (Roethler), was born on March 16, 1964 in New Hampton, Iowa. He graduated from Charles City High School in 1982. He then attended Atlantic Community College receiving an associate’s degree in culinary arts.

John started out as a private chef in Atlantic City for a variety of people including, Donald Trump and Vanna White. He was then an executive chef at Choo-Choo in Charles City. John then worked for Gil White Plumbing and Mick Gage Plumbing and Heating. He then was self-employed operating his own business, John and John Plumbing and Heating.

John enjoyed fishing (especially for walleye), hunting, cooking, traveling, visiting the ocean, and entertaining family and friends. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. Above everything, John loved his family and will be missed dearly.

Living family members include his children: Allison (Zach) Piehl, Cody Cuccuini, and Ashley (Larry) Bell; grandchildren: Alena, Aspen and Everlie Piehl and Kira, Kobe, and Khali Bell; mother, Wanda Ward; siblings: Robert (Sharlene) Cuccuini and Shirley (Scott) Huemann; nephew, Cory Cuccuini; niece, Amanda (Ardy) Amin; honorary son, Zion Jordan; along with many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mario; infant daughter, Betty; and stepfather, Bill Ward.
