Cary Duane LaBounty

Cary Duane LaBounty, born Dec. 8, 1942 in Anoka, MN to Duane and Alice (Venz) LaBounty, died Oct. 14, 2020 in his home in Tallahassee, FL. He is survived by Mavis,his wife of fifty years, their son Brent and his wife Laurre and two grandchildren, Khaleesi and Liam.

Cary graduated from CCHS in 1961, Hamilton Business College in 1962 and went into the Navy, serving four years active duty and two in the reserves. For years, he worked with his dad in construction as LaBounty Sand Gravel and Black Dirt. Upon retirement, he and Mavis began ten years of traveling the USA in an RV. His death put a sudden stop to their adventures but for those he was a friend to, or a family member, the wonderful memories will keep him alive in our hearts and minds.

He will be interred in the National Cemetery in Tallahassee, FL after cremation.
