Joan Terrell

Joan Terrell, 83, of Charles City, passed away Thursday, Oct. 29, 2020 at the home of her dear friend Dea Neve.

A Celebration of Life for Joan Terrell will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at 5 p.m. at the home of Shay Foster and Lindsey Riggan in Greene.

Joan Claire (Brown) Terrell, the daughter of Olean Brown and Elenora, was born March 11, 1937 in Rumford, Maine. She deeply believed in God and knew that His plan was the one she needed to follow in life.

Joan worked in a bakery, at Wal-Mart and as a radio announcer at various radio stations in the United States. She enjoyed crafts and baking, but loved spending time with her family (in particular her grandchildren who always held a special place in her heart). She laughed every single day even up until her passing. Joan knew how to make people happy, especially if they were in a bad mood or just having a bad day.

Living family members include her daughter, Tiffany Kennedy; son, Reggie Terrell II; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Kathleen “Kitty” Grassette; along with other family members and friends. Joan was preceded in death by her parents.

Dance as if no one is watching, sing as if no one is listening and live each day as if it was your last.
