Ruth Mary Hunt

Ruth Mary Hunt, 81, shed her earthly body and took the hand of Jesus on Dec. 1, 2020 at 11th Street Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City, Iowa. She was born Sept. 28, 1939, the daughter of Louis and Delma Hagarty. She graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in 1957. That following year she married, the love of her life, Arthur W. Hunt Jr. on Dec. 28 at Immaculate Conception Church in Charles City. Their love and passion for each other never wavered and will continue through eternity.

Ruth Mary was a very creative, artistic woman. She had many hobbies and passions throughout her life. She loved sharing her abilities and projects with everyone she met. She loved antiques, garage sales, refinishing furniture, painting, writing poetry and short stories. There was never a dull or boring moment when you were around Ruth Mary.  She had a flair for fashion and will always be remembered for her hats. She was a loving mother to all her children and grandchildren who knew her by Nana.

She is predeceased by her son Douglas Hunt, parents, Louis and Delma Hagarty, sisters, Carolyn Koll, Geraldine Lynch, and Teresa Rose Hagarty, brothers, Paul and Joseph Hagarty, nephews, Eric Hagarty and Greg Biggar.

Ruth Mary is survived by her devoted husband, Art of 63 years, her son, Daniel Hunt and his wife, Shannon, daughter, Maddison Hunt of Rogers, MN, her daughter, Denise and her husband, Harvery Enerson, son, Nicholas Enerson and his wife, Alicia of Hammond, WI, and daughter, Ashley and husband, Sam Horak of Lakeville, MN, her son, David Hunt and wife, Amy of Charles City, son, Stephen Hunt of Charles City, daughter, Emily and husband, Dustin Murray of Floyd, and daughter, Amanda Hunt of Waterloo, Iowa, her daughter D’Anne and husband, Ali Khazraeinazmpour of St. Joseph, MO, sons,  Zaal Khazraeinazmpour of Columbia, MO and Zackariah Khazraeinazmpour of Lawrence, KS, her great grandchildren, Carter, Rory, Mabel Horak, Miles and Maisey Enerson, Brilynn Hunt, Grayson and soon-to-be Adalynn Ruth Murray.

Ruth Mary is also survived by her sisters, LaVonne and husband, Curtis Biggar of Appleton, WI, Judy and husband, Don Olenjniczak of Charles City, Jane and husband, Tom Offerman of Charles City, Jean and husband, Bill Holscher of Ankeny, IA, brothers, Louis Hagarty and wife, Barb of Waterloo, IA, Robert Hagarty and wife, Diane of Newton, IA, Thomas Hagarty and wife, Amy of Charles City, IA, sisters-in-law, Jolene Hagarty of Charles City and Rosalie Hagarty of Bellevue, NE, brothers-in-law, Bruce Koll of Marshalltown, IA and Craig Lynch of Charles City, IA and numerous nieces and nephews.
