Scott Andrew Staudt

Oct. 12, 1971 – Jan. 24, 2021 

Scott Andrew Staudt passed away at the family farm near Marble Rock on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2021. Scott was born on Oct. 12, 1971, in Mason City, Iowa, to Cletus and Mary Susan Staudt.

Scott was active throughout his highschool days in band, choir, sports and many other aspects at Rudd-Rockford-Marble Rock High School. Scott went on to complete his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors with a major in history from Loras College while partaking in their track and field program. He still holds a place on the Loras College all-time fastest times in the 400-meter dash.

Scott went on to meet his wife, Jolene (Van Hauen) Staudt, after graduation. Scott and Jolene were married in 1995 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.

Scott was involved in the lives of his children by traveling to see their basketball games, wrestling meets, track meets and many other activities. Scott shared his love for history and learning with his family. He was always there to ensure there was a possibility to live out a new hobby or passion such as candle making or playing bocce ball on the farm.

Scott was an avid hunter and shared the wealth of knowledge and love for the sport with his family.

Scott is survived by wife Jolene, oldest son Garrett Staudt, daughter Alyssa Staudt, youngest son, Grant Staudt, mother Mary Susan Staudt, brother Kyle Staudt and family, brother Troy Staudt and family. Scott would have also wanted to include David Route and family, Scott’s newly found half-brother.

He was preceded in death by his father, Cletus Staudt, and his son, Drew Lensing, and by his beloved dog Zoe.
