Ernesto J. Gurule

Ernesto Joseph Gurule, 47, passed away on Friday Oct. 1, 2021, in Burlingame, CA, surrounded by his family.

A memorial service for Ernesto will be held on Friday, Oct. 22, at 9 a.m. at the Holy Cross Funeral Home in Antioch, CA, with burial to follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery.

Ernesto was born on June 12, 1974, in Pittsburg, CA, to Patricia Gurule. On Aug. 12, 1995, he married Susan Tonn in Meyers, CA. Ernesto and Susan had two children: Andrew and Angelia. They later divorced. Ernesto later had two children with Lillian Walker: Kamea Walker and James Gurule.

Ernesto is survived by two daughters, Angelia Gurule of Charles City, IA, and Kamea Walker of Pittsburg, CA; two sons, Andrew (Alyssa) Gurule of Charles City, IA and James Gurule of Pittsburg, CA; four grandchildren; mother, Patricia Gurule of Bay Point, CA; four brothers, Alfredo Pichardo Jr, Francisco Gurule, Ramiro Pichardo and Mario Pichardo, all of Pittsburg, CA, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
