Beverly J. Sisson

Beverly J. Sisson, 85, of Sarasota, Florida, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021 at SaraBella Senior Living in Sarasota.

Private family services for Beverly will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Charles City.

Beverly Jean Rinker was born on Dec. 12, 1935 at home in Grand Junction, Iowa to James Henry Rinker and Ruth E. (Davisson) Rinker. Beverly graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1954. On June 11, 1955 she was united in marriage to Paul E. Sisson of Waterloo. Paul, Beverly and their three children moved to Charles City, Iowa on Feb. 1, 1962. Beverly enjoyed dancing, gymnastics, bird watching, gardening, her dogs, a glass of wine and golf. Beverly served seven years as the varsity girls’ golf coach for the Charles City Community School District. She also served on the board of directors of the Iowa Women’s Golf Association.

Beverly is survived by her husband of 66 years, Paul, sons Jeff Sisson of Charles City, Tom (Sherri) Sisson of rural Charles City, and daughter Jody (Jon) Vrieze of Eldridge, Iowa, six grandchildren and eight great grand children. She is also survived by a sister, Barbara (Larry) Coffin of Waterloo, Iowa.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, younger sister, Bonnie Joan Rinker and a granddaughter Ellie Ann Poolman.
