Sheila Ann Putney

Sheila Ann Putney, 61, of Charles City, passed away Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022 at Waverly Health Center in Waverly surrounded by her family.

Per Sheila’s wishes, she has been cremated and a celebration of life will be held July 23, 2022 at the home place.

Sheila was born July 23, 1961 to Marvin and Eleanor Rilea in Cloquet, Minnesota. She married Corey Putney on June 8, 1978 in Watertown, South Dakota.

Sheila is survived by her husband Corey of Charles City; three children: Joshua (Athena) Putney of Latonia, Kentucky, Donel Putney of Charles City, and Jonathan Putney of Forest City; 14 grandchildren; parents, Marvin and Eleanor; five brothers, Darwin (Jeri) Rilea, Duane (Naomi) Rilea, Doug (Vicky) Rilea, Dennis (Rhonda) Rilea, Dale Rilea; one sister, Marie (Robert) Young; father-in-law, Jack (Denise) Putney; three brothers-in-law, Craig (Bertha) Krall, Curt (Joann) Herman, and Chris (Sarah) Warren; two sisters-in-law, Callie (David) Deere and Cammie (Chris) Ogden; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Ralph and Nora Henninger and Jesse and Beulah Rilea; mother-in-law, Donna Putney; and brother-in-law, Calvin Putney.
