Paul Mason

Paul John Mason, 75, of 1100 5th Ave. Charles City, IA, died Monday Jan. 31, 2022 at Mercy One North Iowa in Mason City.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Charles City. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Florida.

Paul was born on Jan. 12, 1947 in Michigan, the son of Patrick Joseph and Arlene Doris “Reckley” Mason. Paul became a General Contractor and in the early 70’s moved to Florida to work with his father. Even after retirement he continued to refurbish homes in the area. He enjoyed camping, spending time with family and friends, was an avid fisherman and had a passion for boating. On Feb. 28, 2010 he married Sherry Joslin in Jensen Beach, Florida. In 2013, he and Sherry moved to Charles City to be closer to family.

Surviving family members are his wife Sherry Joslin of Charles City, Step-sons: Jason (Amy) Joslin, Jesse Joslin and James (Ammie) Joslin all from Charles City. Including seven step-grandchildren.

Sons: David Mason, Phillip Mason of Colorado. Daughters: Kelly (Mason) Dugger of California and Danielle (Mason) Phippen of Colorado.

Seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Siblings: Christine Gannage of California, Mark Mason, Kevin Mason, Tim Mason and James Mason, all of Florida.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents Patrick and Arlene Mason and brother David Mason all of Florida.

Arrangements are pending at Fullerton-Hage Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 401 Blunt Charles City, Iowa.
