Ruth Oberholtzer

Ruth Oberholtzer, 25, of Charles City, passed away Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022 at her home in rural Charles City, Iowa.

A funeral service for Ruth Oberholtzer will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022 at the Deerfield Mennonite Church, 1481 Cheyenne Avenue, Ionia, IA, 50645. Burial will be at the Deerfield Mennonite Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2022 at the Oberholtzer home, 1540 Beaumont Avenue, Charles City, IA, 50616.

Ruth Sauder Oberholtzer, the daughter of John and Anna Mae (Sauder) Oberholtzer, was born May 7, 1997 in Charles City. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Living family members include her parents, John and Anna Mae Oberholtzer of Charles City; siblings: Stephen (Dianna) Oberholtzer of Charles City, Louella (Mark) Zimmerman of Riceville, Joseph (Grace Ann) Oberholtzer of Charles City, Alma Oberholtzer, Mark Oberholtzer, Jonathan Oberholtzer, Melvin Oberholtzer, Esther Oberholtzer, Leroy Oberholtzer and Martha Oberholtzer all of Charles City; paternal Grandfather, Joseph Oberholtzer of Leola, Pennsylvania; maternal Grandmother, Florence Sauder of East Earl, Pennsylvania; along with numerous other family members and loved ones.

Ruth was preceded in death by her sister, Katie Oberholtzer; maternal Grandfather, David Sauder; and paternal Grandmother, Martha Oberholtzer.

The family has requested that no flowers be sent for the visitation or funeral.
