Douglas James Litterer

Douglas James Litterer, age 58, of White Bear Lake, Minnesota, passed away peacefully Oct. 2, 2022. Doug was a graduate of Charles City Senior High in Charles City, Iowa and Iowa State University where he received his Civil Engineering degree. He spent most of his career working in the Twin Cities area, most recently at Stanley Consultants in St. Louis Park. Doug also enjoyed traveling to Germany for ancestry research, to the Boundary Waters, and to visit his nephews and nieces at their respective colleges and universities.

Doug is survived by parents Stanley and Lois (Kreimeyer) Litterer, siblings Trina (Tom) Rupp Ankeny, Iowa, Dana (Lori) Litterer Waverly, and Teresa (Jim) Byers of Marion. Nieces Grace Byers, Madeline Rupp and nephews Nicholas Rupp, Dillon Rupp, Jason Holthaus, Nathan Litterer, and William (Ellie) Byers all in Iowa. He was preceded in death by grandparents Leonard and Vera (Koester) Litterer and Will (Louise Elizabeth Spieker) Kreimeyer.

A memorial service will be held at St. John’s Pleasant Hill, 10009 Union Avenue, rural Nashua, Iowa 50658, Saturday Nov. 5 at 10:30 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Condolences and memorials may be directed to the family.
