As a young boy, Robert understood Jesus died for him. One day he heard the Lord tell him, “You are Mine” and then as a teenager surrendered to the call to go into the ministry. Pursuing his calling, he received his primary education at Prosser Vocational High School in Chicago, his BA from Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, Illinois, continued on to a Master’s Degree from Bangor Theological Seminary in Bangor, Maine and completed two units of Clinical Pastoral Education at Gunderson Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

Robert also worked for Service Master, Howard Johnson, Linn Haven Healthcare and Rehabilitation in New Hampton for nine years and McDonalds for 17 years.

Robert was a past member of Kiwanis in Wisconsin, Lions in Southeast Iowa and Friends of Konza Prairie.

Robert loved the Lord, his family, and the Chicago Bears. He was a giving man and was always willing to step in to help others or go sit with someone going through a hard time. He loved gathering together with family and especially delighted in his grandchildren.
