Marvin was born Sept. 9, 1932, in Carrville, Iowa, on the dining room table. He served in the U.S. Army in Sendai, Japan, following the Korean War for two years as a high speed radio operator. Upon discharge, Marvin went home and married the love of his life, Mitzie. He worked at Salsbury Labs as a lab technician for 30½ years until his retirement in 1994.
After retirement, Marvin enjoyed his hobby of carpentry and woodworking for his family, friends, church, and community and used that skill to bless people up until his passing.
Even though Mitzie was the love of his life, his first love was always his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
A memorial service will be held at a later time when Marvin’s grandson, Josiah, can be home from the military.
Marvin would like everyone to know that Heaven is only attainable through the salvation of Jesus Christ.
